Photography as a means of showing the freedom of the individual. My personal projects are not necessarily for commercial gain, but to make my point of view fully luminous.
This effort has resulted in a project about audiences in DIY music scenes; in a series showing the beauty of stark blackness; in a collection of street photographs; in portraits of my friend with alopecia; in a subjective view of a global crisis; and in the most personal project of all—my view of love.

These commissions resonate with what I’m personally interested in as a photographer; they touch on the art world, a music scene, a cross section of people in New York, and family dynamics.
With all my assignments, my intention is not only to execute the job, but to provoke my imagination. When a story speaks to my inner experiences, I feel like the images belong to a collective record of what I’ve seen from a personal point of view.
