Early Street


In 2018, when I acquired the Fuji X-Pro 1 and the Fuji X100S, cameras that are much lighter than the Nikon DSLR I started out with, I felt immensely inspired to go out into the world and see things as they were. This impulse was born out of many factors, but mainly I wanted to use the cameras for what they were designed for: capturing candor.

    There’s a kind of poetry to daily life sometimes; mundanity caught within the frame can turn into something much more than what it really is. Short-lived moments demanded me to be quick with my camera. For a while, I believed it was the only real way to photograph.
